Three centuries after Galileo's first observation of Mars, Giovanni Schiaparelli foresaw that real progress would come only from photographic images allowing precise measurements, anticipating space exploration beyond telescopic limits. With the advent of the space age and automatic probes, those images became available, yet were largely excluded from scientific research. This study instead fully employs NASA satellite imagery, analysing the entire Martian surface through planetographic principles. Using photogrammetric methods, it identifies extensive photographic evidence consistent with the existence of life. Drawing exclusively on NASA's photo library, curated by the author in Rome, the research aims to integrate Mars into the broader field of human scientific inquiry, transforming it from mystery into a subject of systematic study.
