The book analyses how the role of the Court of Justice of the European Union to ensure uniform interpretation of EU law also implies shaping common European legal meanings through autonomous concepts and autonomous interpretation. It examines how the Court's efforts contribute to the emergence of a hybrid linguistic and conceptual space, where national and supranational traditions intersect. Based on comparative law, linguistics methods, and the theory of hybridity, this study investigates the processes through which European legal concepts develop, transform, and strive for coherence within a context of legal, linguistic and cultural plurality. Combining theoretical analysis with selected case studies, the research shows that the Court of Justice's autonomous interpretation in practice not only advances legal integration, but also drives conceptual innovation, fostering a shared yet fluid European legal framework, shaped by the dynamic interaction of language, culture, and law.
