The Castle of Bracciano Castle is one of the largest private historic residences in Italy. Built by the Orsini family in the second half of the Quattrocento, it was purchased in the late Seicento by the Odescalchi family, who still own and maintain it today. With over 20 rooms and armouries, courtyards, loggias, rampart galleries, and towers with breathtaking views of one of the most beautiful lakes in Lazio, the Castle of Bracciano offers a journey blending history with landscape. Constructed during the same period as the Sistine Chapel, the Castle of Braccianois the perfect fusion of a Renaissance palace and a military fortress. The Castle of Bracciano was one of the first Italian historic residences to open to the public.
