"The Soul's Garden" arises from the need to entrust significant emotions to poetic writing, those that the author deemed too important to be left to oblivion. These are compositions in which love and nature serve as central themes, with nature acting as a metaphor for life. This collection ideally continues a discourse that began centuries ago and never truly concluded, finding its most compelling argumentative traits in the archetypal Stilnovo movement. Indeed, reading these verses feels almost like reliving despite the many centuries that have passed, the same dreamy and trembling atmospheres that shaped the works of the first great stilnovists, now revived with a new pulse. Undoubtedly, love remains the most engaging and redemptive dimension to which one can cling in the difficult and unpredictable experience of life. As a result, perhaps in a compensatory perspective, there emerges an urgent need to seek refuge in the hopeful, timeless, and comforting realms once envisioned by the stilnovists realms that, even today, continue to offer a fulfilling solace. However, this solace is often more "anticipated" and "longed for" than "fully experienced" as a response to the inevitable disappointments and defeats of life. And it's precisely from this "refuge" that we rediscover the brightness and beauty of our earthly journey, one that holds the promise of a future that is finally elevated and worthy of humanity's noblest sentiments. The more this journey is accompanied by the nobility of these eternal dimensions that nourish and shape the concept of "a-mors", the "absence of death", the more it offers hope for a tomorrow that transcends the limitations of mortal existence.
