The booklet Considerations and Notes on the Cirneco Dog by Dr. Mario Migneco published in Catania in 1897 and printed by the Galati Typographic Establishment, a well-known family of publisher and typographers, represented a turning point in the understanding of the Cirneco dog. It was the first modern study dedicated to this breed, sparking extensive debate in the field. Although now dated and many of its contents may be considered outdated, this text remains a fundamental reference point in the history of the Cirneco dell'Etna. Additionally, this edition helps clarify the identity of the author, Dr. Mario Migneco, often confused with his son Maurizio, both passionate about the Cirneco breed.
