Hollow and Broken: A State of the World is published on the occasion of Gülsün Karamustafa's participation in the Türkiye Pavilion at the 60th International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia, with an installation that invites visitors to consider the tragic and tumultuous realities of a world impacted by wars, earthquakes, migration, and nuclear peril. A folded poster, featuring film stills that the artist considers as the binding statement of her Venice project, is inserted between the two volumes.
