A journey into history through the accounts of six of the most fascinating monuments of the city. The network features architectural masterpieces whose exhibition routes tell the story of the city from Roman times to the 20th century. In the medieval stillness of the Convento di San Francesco there is the centre dedicated to the 20th century with Bergamo 900 and Museo della fotografia Sestini. Palazzo del Podestà is the expression of Bergamo during the Renaissance and portrays the golden century of the Venetian domination through Museo del Cinquecento. The fortress of the Rocca is entrusted with the narration of the Risorgimento and Garibaldi epic with Museo dell'Ottocento. In the magnificent setting of the Domus Magna, the Museo Donizettiano brings to life the human and professional life of the greatest composer of Bergamo, Gaetano Donizetti. Two of the most iconic towers in the city are part of the network as well: Campanone, emblem of the civic identity of Bergamo and symbol of the city skyline, and Torre dei Caduti, a monument dedicated to the fallen soldiers of Bergamo during the Great War, in the centre of the modern Bergamo.
