For the first time in Italy, Fondazione Luigi Rovati presents an exhibition dedicated to Diego Giacometti. Featuring his better-known output of decorative elements and designer furniture, the show highlights Diego's great strength as an artist and sculptor. His iconic works are displayed alongside sculptures and objects that belonged to his family. This exhibition is a chance to discover Diego Giacometti the man, reconstructed by Casimiro Di Crescenzo in this book through letters and documents referencing his artistic work and family relationships. The decision to host the exhibition at the Fondazione Luigi Rovati's spaces is partly due to the fact that the artist's works were very much inspired by archaeology and Etruscan art. From the hypogeum to the first floor, Diego Giacometti's works are laid out alongside the permanent collection to create a continuous dialogue between ancient and contemporary.
