In this book the content and treatment of the topics have been particularly targeted at the interest and experience of musicians, students from high schools where music is a major, music colleges, academies and conservatoires. According to the latest reform by the Italian Ministry for University and Research, a foreign language is an integral part of the general curriculum of the students from the musical field. The author has found it appropriate to refer to international official grids of evaluation for foreign languages according to the European and British educational systems.
