In "Led Zeppelin's Will to Power", Tiberio Snaidero examines the potential philosophical interpretations of Led Zeppelin, including: the original approach to the band's management, the distinctive features of each of its four original members, the themes of the songs' lyrics, the aesthetics of its musical production, the epic character of the tours, and the symbolism of the albums' paratextual devices. The results of this exegesis allow Snaidero to then identify the constituent aspects of Led Zeppelin's philosophy as disclosed intentionally by the entity {Page + Plant + Jones + Bonham}. These aspects include the concepts of the 'Theatre of Cruelty', 'Ritual Repetition', 'Carnival', 'Sacred Eroticism', 'Vitalistic Hedonism', 'Will to Power' and the 'Sublime'. This fi nal category is taken as an effective summary of Led Zeppelin's philosophy and aesthetics, both in terms of the audience's emotional reception as well as in terms of artistic production.
