The main intent of this book is the presentation of a concept of history so broad as to include «historical life», that is a concept of history not confined to the narration of the power elites and of intellectual development. The Author contends that history has not come to an end. Quite to the contrary, history is going to include everyday life in all its relevant aspects in such away as to be able to use biographical material and personal autobiographical testimonies.
